WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY IN ITALY IS UNQUIE - JUST LIKE YOU
Capturing wedding photography in Italy is always amazing because everywhere you turn in Italy you see beauty. Giving us an endless supply of stunning backdrops in our images and video.
Weddings in Italy are unlike any weddings in the UK, you can pretty much guarantee a few things that you cannot with a UK wedding:
- The weather is on your side - allowing you to plan for outdoor ceremonies and dining.
- Everyone is in high spirits because who doesn’t love Italian food and drink - I'll have an Aperol, please!
- Your wedding images and film will be sunkissed from start to finish giving those warm tones and that beautiful sun flair that everyone loves.
- No one will be leaving early because they have work the following day.....
- Everyone treats the whole wedding as a holiday. The day before, the day after, it’s a 3-day celebration minimum - good times!
ITALIAN WEDDINGS - THE IMPORTANT DETAILS
We always love doing a pre-wedding shoot before the wedding at either sunrise or sunset - all dependant on you and your plans. This gives you another set of great images and also takes some pressure off you on the wedding day. As we want you to enjoy the day with your guests. We have captured sunrise shoots in Puglia, sunset shoots in Rome and pre-wedding shoots in Lake Como.
We are able to do this because when we shoot wedding photography in Italy, we like to get there a few days before the wedding to mitigate any flight disruptions. This gives us a chance to familiarise ourselves with our clients chosen location and venue.
We also love attending the pre-wedding drinks or pool party and BBQ. We find that hanging out with your friends and family before the wedding takes us from the side-lines to being part of your wedding.
This gets you and your guests used to us so that when it comes to photographing and filming your wedding day everybody totally relaxes around us and the cameras. We find this approach gives us more authentic and emotive images. As we are photographing and filming your wedding from the centre and not as onlookers.

Xana and Robbie chose Villa Regina Teodolinda in Laglio, a small town on Lake Como, for their wedding. They had a lakeside wedding ceremony in the beautiful gardens, with guests arriving by ferry. This was followed by a wedding reception in the villa’s stunning courtyard garden and some serious partying until the early hours.
"...I don’t know where to start... The photos and film were more than we could have ever imagined. I don’t think one of the guests didn’t comment on how friendly, professional and talented they were..."

Victoria and Jeremy chose Vinilia Wine Resorts which is located in the heart of Salento in the Puglia region of Italy. This neo-medieval castle sits amongst expanses of olive and primitive trees. Victoria and Jeremy’s wedding was elegant, authentically rustic and chic, which was precisely the look that Victoria and Jeremy had dreamed of.
"...Fuck. It’s so good. It’s so fucking good. Not in my wildest dreams could I have ever imagined something so amazing. The films, the photos, everything. It’s insane. You two are absolute legends..."

SOME OF OUR FAVOURITE WEDDINGS IN ITALY
Puglia in the south of Italy is increasingly thought to be one of the most beautiful areas in Europe to get married in. Masseria Grieco certinaly ticks a lot of boxes for a great wedding. The arches, terraces and the gardens combined with modern luxuries like the infinity pool and the spectacular views across the Apulian countryside made Fran and Pete book this place the within a heart beat.
If there is something we love about Italian wedding venues is when they are self contained meaning there is no reason to leave the venue. Surrounded by olive groves and vineyards, the Vinilia Wine Resort is exactly that - this venue has everything including a Wine one of the oldest Wine Cellars in the country.
