Vinilia Wine Resort wedding photographer – Victoria and Jeremy’s wedding.
We are very fortunate to shoot a number of destination weddings each year but capturing weddings in Italy is something we never take for granted. We have captured weddings all over Italy over the years but we always love capturing wedding photography in Puglia especially. This was certainly the case when we’re invited by Victoria and Jeremy to their wedding at the gorgeous Vinilia Wine Resort.
Vinilia Wine Resort is located in the heart of Salento. A stone’s throw from the sea sits amongst expanses of olive and primitive trees. A truly romantic setting for a wedding.
The Castle is a neo-medieval style. It has a handsome main tower and a further four lateral towers as well as imposing battlements. In stark contrast, the interiors are a melting pot of vintage and pop furnishings salvaged from the original interiors and purchased at flea markets and junk shops. Which is one of the many reasons why we love shooting Vinilia Wine resort wedding photography, as there were so many fantastic backdrops to choose from when photographing Victoria, Jeremy and their guests.
Victoria wore a beautiful haute couture dress from the Atelier collection at Pronovias and looked absolutely stunning. The fitted shape and shoulder-skimming style really suited Victoria’s petite frame and the mermaid shape gave her a beautiful silhouette in all of our images of her. The wedding dress purchased through Kustford Wedding Gallery was perfectly complimented with some to-die-for Jimmy Choo shoes. Victoria’s hair and makeup were simply beautiful and was the clever creation of Konstantinos Galanis of Galamorous.
Victoria’s bridesmaids wore beautiful dusky rose gold dresses. The entire bridal party looked so polished and elegant.
We also had a chance to catch up with Jeremy and the boys before the wedding ceremony who were all in good spirits and looking really smart in coordinated suits with light blue jackets.
Victoria and Jeremy chose to have a romantic outdoor ceremony in the garden, overlooking the beautiful vineyards, small rural buildings and the views of endless olive and primitive trees. We love outdoor ceremonies as they really capture the breeze and the movement that only comes from getting married outdoors.
After the wedding ceremony, there was a fun confetti moment and a drinks reception in the castle courtyard. With musical accompaniment by a string quartet. And we got the chance to take great images of the wedding party.
The wedding reception was held in Vinilia Wine Resorts’ traditional courtyard, which was adorned with strings of magical fairy lights. Long tables were beautifully decorated with white linen and flowers. The effect was utterly elegant, authentically rustic and chic, which was precisely the look that Victoria and Jeremy had dreamed of. Talking of those two, they were welcomed to their wedding reception with rapturous applause from everybody. As Vinilia Wine Resort not only has plenty of its own wine, but it also boasts a Michelin star restaurant – Casamatta, to say the wedding meal was amazing is no overstatement.
After the meal there were some really lovely heartfelt speeches that had everybody crying tears of happiness, joy and laughter – all washed down with several shots of limoncello.
Evening celebrations kick-started with Victoria and Jeremy having a first dance. Everybody was really up some fun and the band Omero and Friends certainly brought the party. I bravely took my life into my own hands to get some fantastic images on the dancefloor. Before the night was out. We took the boys outside to get a moody image of them smoking cigars against the night sky. We loved the image. Not surprisingly, they all ended up in the outdoor pool. First dressed, and then – not!
We cannot go without saying a massive thank you to Sara and Sandra, the wedding planners from Infinity Weddings, these guys were ACE. They made sure everything ran on time with zero fuss and had everything under control. Having a planner for a destination wedding that is familiar with the venue, understands local customs and speaks the language is essential. We fully recommend these guys!
An utterly gorgeous Italian wedding for this utterly gorgeous pair. Thank you for allowing us to capture your wedding day with photography and film. We loved it! (we really loved it!)
I’ll leave the last words to Victoria and Jeremy. Here’s what they had to say about working with us.
Mick and Ash are brilliant. They guided us through the whole process and became our friends before we even got to Italy. They are not wedding photographers / videographers, they are part of the wedding party. They are great fun and manage to capture all those important and intimate moments because they blended in. All our guests enjoyed their company and we would 100% recommend them – NO DOUBT ABOUT IT!
We love you guys! Thank you so much for capturing our wedding so beautifully. You captured these memories for us to keep for a lifetime and we will be forever grateful! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts xxx
