As a Destination Wedding Studio, we get to travel all over the world but we keep returning to Lake Como and love it more and more each time we return! We love Villa Regina Teodolinda Wedding Photography & especially because Lake Como is one of the most beautiful lakes in the world and provides for a backdrop like no other. This was the setting for Xana and Robbies’ beautiful Italian wedding. They chose Villa Regina Teodolinda for their wedding reception. A venue they confessed to falling in love with the second they saw it. And it’s no wonder. It’s epic. Take a look at our images!
On the day we caught up with Xana who was on good form and getting ready with her bridesmaids, sisters, mum and Robbie’s step mum all on hand. They were all in infectiously high spirits. Xana looked stunning in a simple satin A-line dress with a cathedral length veil that had some intricate Italian lace detail on it. Robbie wore a timeless black tuxedo with a suede jacket.
We loved the theme of the wedding, it was simple, elegant and pared back. With bridesmaids in white, groomsmen in black, natural greenery for decoration and simple lighting. This was important to Xana and Robbie as they wanted the lake and the location to be the focus of the
day. It was a clever choice and it worked so well. Transport to UK weddings came to be a bit samey so it was fantastic to see Xana and Robbie’s guests arrive by ferry. Xana got to walk to the ceremony (as she had been getting ready next door) and did so on the
arm of her father who then walked her down the aisle. We know this was one of the highlights of Xana’s day.
After a perfect ceremony, there was a drinks reception. Take a look at the epic prosecco tower (don’t try this at home!) Now, this is the part where we mention little touches, we loved the rose petals on the swimming pool and the foliage on the tables. These were arranged by Xana and Robbie’s wedding planners Wiskow and White. Catering on the day was done by the talented people at Sunlake Catering who provided Xana, Robbie and their guests one of the best meals they had ever eaten (their words exactly!) How’s that for a review! After which there were some fun and very well received speeches.
Xana and Robbie had a traditional Italian Millefoglie wedding cake. Take a look, how yummy does that look! Wedding Photography at Villa Regina Teodolinda also never tasted soooo good!
Evening entertainment was provided by talented singer Lucie Evans whose amazing voice and clever choice of songs saw that the dancefloor was packed in no time.

MIKI Studios are all we could have wanted and more. They were friendly, knowledgeable and so professional. They were creative, original and inspired. They made our whole experience of wedding photography so enjoyable. Mick and Ash flew out to our wedding two days in advance to ensure they were there in time and knew the best timing and areas for lighting. They drove the circumference of the lake to find the best pre-wedding shoot spot for us. They made us feel at ease the whole time and we had the best time and great fun. This is an additional part of our wedding that we will always look back on so fondly and also have the most amazing photos in addition to the wedding day! Mick and Ash became friends, and most of our friends and family thought they were guests at the wedding or we had known them for years. Despite this, I don’t think there was a moment they didn’t have their cameras in hand! They worked so hard. We are so happy we found Mick and Ash, our wedding would not have been the same without them.
