Dartmouth House offers several beautiful spaces giving couples the flexibility to have their wedding their way. Whether you are having a small or larger celebration.
One of the things we love about weddings at Dartmouth House is the stunning interiors. Grand marble staircases, dark wood, crystal chandeliers and opulent furnishings.
The house is licensed to hold civil ceremonies and offer exclusive use. This means you and your wedding guests can relax and enjoy this luxurious wedding venue.
Unique Venue For Any Type of Wedding Ceremony
It creates a fantastic wedding vibe for every type of celebration.
The largest of the rooms is the Churchill Room which was formerly the ballroom of the house.
It is decorated in distinctive Louis XIV walnut panels and has majestic crystal chandeliers. Licensed to hold civil ceremonies for up to 100 guests. For a reception it can accommodate 150 seated and 450 standing so is the perfect venue for larger and Hindu and Sikh weddings.
You’ll feel like you’re in a French chateau when you see Dartmouth House’s outdoor courtyard. Classic wrought iron furniture, a feature fountain and beautiful French style architecture. Nothing shouts chateau terrace feel this side of the Channel Tunnel. The most stunning settings, it is the perfect place for a refined champagne or cocktail reception.
You Will Never Forget Dartmouth House – Don’t fight it!
When we shoot Dartmouth House wedding photography, we love taking images with the courtyard in the background. We play with the stunning architecture and available natural light to create beautiful images. The courtyard does not fail to provide with a stunning backdrop.
The Long Drawing Room is the perfect space for an elegant wedding breakfast. Decorated in an 18th century style and full-length sash windows give an abundance of natural light. All London wedding videographers love to hear the words ‘an abundance of natural light’! Dartmouth has French-style ornate coving and high ceilings that give it a palatial feel.
It overlooks the beautiful Georgian architecture of Charles Street. (one of the most exclusive streets in London and the UK). It accommodates 100 guests seated and 150 guests standing. For larger weddings it can connect up with the small Drawing Room.
That brings us neatly to another reason why we love shooting Dartmouth House wedding videography. The layout and flow of this venue make weddings run well and that makes shooting film at Dartmouth House very enjoyable. Seeing the ornate and grand marble staircase in an image is one thing.
But a film of the bride sweeping down those stairs to make a grand entrance, is quite something. Shooting wedding videography at Dartmouth House gives us so many of those beautiful moments to capture.
Dartmouth House Is An Venue Like No-Other
Dartmouth House’s Small Drawing Room is ideal for smaller and more intimate weddings. It can host wedding receptions for up to 70 guests.
The baroque wall and carved ceiling give it an air of grandeur whilst maintaining an intimate and cosy feel. For larger weddings it can be used as a private area for the wedding party. Or joined together to form The Long drawing room to create more space.
