Sikh wedding photography and videography are always a joy to shoot. We always get an early night in before photographing and filming a Sikh wedding as they are seriously long day/days! One of the many things we love about being multi-award winning London wedding photographers is that we frequently get to shoot Sikh wedding photography. Sikh weddings have it all grand traditions, amazing colour, emotion, delicious food, singing, dancing, partying and we have to say it again partying!
As multi-award-winning London wedding photographers we are familiar with all the Gurdwara’s in and around the city having filmed and photographed Sikh weddings at many if not all of them. It always feels such an honour to be able to be there to record the day. Not that you’ll really notice us.
As experienced Sikh wedding photographers, we are experienced at photographing and filming all of the Sikh wedding traditions and consequently, we know where and how to ideally position ourselves to get the very best images. This allows us to perfectly capture your day whilst moving around your wedding as unobtrusively as possible. It’s great we’re a team as you have to be everywhere to cover a Sikh wedding. There are such important moments to capture like the bride dressed ready for the ceremony in her red kemeez or lengha, the groom on horseback (always creates amazing images and film) on his way to the father of the bride, the bride’s father passing the scarf to his daughter, the bride being escorted around the Guru Granth Sahib or the groom being presented with the ceremonial sword.
We believe its really important that we have a good understanding of Sikh wedding rituals so that we are ready for the important moments they can be captured alongside all of the documentary-style images that tell the story of your Sikh wedding day.
Sikh weddings are a rollercoaster of emotions which is great from our point of view, we gravitate towards emotion and story telling in our images and film so we are on a high during Sikh weddings as there is emotion at every stage, from the calm bridal preparing right through to the very joyous moments like the Bhangra dancing (it’s a brave photographer that enters that dance floor to get some dance shots. But we’re always up for it!)
We’re visual storytellers and our films and images always convey all of the emotion of the day.
