Masseria Grieco Wedding Photography and Film – Francesca and Pete wedding at Masseria Grieco, Italy
Travelling all over the world is always exciting especially for an amazing wedding. We get to capture couples having the best day of their lives with their closest people all around them. Being able to call ourselves Masseria Grieco wedding photographers for Francesca and Pete’s beautiful Italian wedding was something else.
The Apulian territory in Italy is increasingly thought to be one of the most beautiful areas in Europe to get married in. Found in the years between the 16th and 18th century Masseria Grieco is rich in both architecture and archaeological heritage.
Amongst the large mostly agricultural buildings made of local stone is a large stone square and a pretty church. The arches, terraces and gardens combined with modern luxuries like the infinity pool and the spectacular views across the Apulian countryside make Masseria Grieco a simply stunning and luxurious wedding venue.
Francesca looked amazing in her dress with a full-length veil with her long hair gently tousled. Fran looked the perfect balance of elegance, style and comfort. Francesca really suited being a bride. The bridesmaid’s dresses had a lovely Grecian style that worked so perfectly with the venue.
The ceremony was held in Masseria Grieco’s beautiful garden and Francesca and her father made a fantastic entrance by coming down the steps of the main building. Having got married in London before leaving the ceremony was a symbolic one and was conducted by Pete’s godmother is who is a celebrant. This made it all the more personal.
The main reception was held in the square with tables dressed exquisitely and adorned with pretty fairy lights that looked magical. Like an Italian take on A Midsummer Night’s Dream – Take a look!
We adored the colours Francesca and Pete went for. Soft blues and greens to match the olive trees and stone colour chino’s for the men to work with the soft stone of the buildings. A traditionally English ‘buttoned up’ look would have looked so out of place at Masseria Grecio. Francesca and Pete very cleverly got the details exactly right.
As the sunset the party started and what a party it was. There were some serious shapes being cut under a canopy of stars. Amazing!
