New York Wedding Photography & Film

Wedding photography is always exciting especially when we get to be New York wedding photographers. Having one of the most exciting cities in the world as a backdrop in our images and film is always amazing.

We met Julia and Hani when we did their New York engagement shoot. It’s always great when we have met with our couples before their wedding day as by the time the wedding comes around it feels like meeting up with friends. It also meant that Julia and Hani were used to being photographed and filmed by us which made them more comfortable allowing them to really relax and allowed us to document their wedding and take the best images and film possible.

Julia looked amazing in her Enzoani dress that she bought on a shopping trip with her mum back in her hometown in Germany.

The day started with Julia, Hani, and their guests boarding a boat for a pre-wedding cruise along the iconic River Hudson. The cruise took them to fashionable Molos Restaurant where they had their wedding ceremony on the decking area that makes the most of Molos’s magnificent views of the New York skyline. The ceremony was beautiful and personal and was officiated by a close friend of Hani’s. We loved the flowers provided by florists Beethoven’s Veranda.

The theme of the wedding was both New York (the bridesmaids’ dresses were the same shade of green as the statue of liberty – love it!) and sports with each table adorned with medals and trophies from Julia and Hani’s many sporting achievements. There was a real sincerity to the speeches that were heartfelt and personal.

Now we’ve seen some first dances in our time but Julia and Hani’s choreographed the first dance to Shallow from their favourite film ‘A Star is Born’ was just gorgeous.

Like the sunset, that view just got more and more magical and made the perfect backdrop for one hell of a party.

Any wedding photographer will tell you that getting opportunities to be a New York wedding photographer is about as good as our job gets. Congratulations to Julia and Hani for getting married and creating such an amazing wedding day. We’ll hand it over to them. Here’s what they had to say about us.

‘We didn’t expect to see a preview of the pictures so early on. Through your hard work and quick turnaround, we were able to send thank you notes to our guests the week after our wedding which everyone appreciated. The 20-minute video was part of another big surprise…Julia asked Mick to play along and schemed Hani’s Birthday surprise. We watched “Bohemian Rhapsody” (Hani is a Queen fan) in an Open-Air/Rooftop cinema in NYC. After the movie finished, Hani was about to leave even before the credits concluded, although Julia managed to keep him sitting for a bit longer until Julia’s plan worked out and our wedding video showed up on the cinema screen. It was another emotional experience to watch this in such an incredible setting. We are amazed by your professionalism, creativity and energy. You made our day into a piece of art. The memories of our 3-Day Filming and Photography adventure will last forever. Choose Mick and Ash as your wedding videographers/photographers. You will find yourself looking at their products every single day, because you never get bored of this piece of art.’
