Middleton Lodge Wedding Photography and Film – Helen and Joe wedding at Middleton Lodge, Yorkshire
Helen and Joe decided to get married at Middleton Lodge after Joe set up a surprise proposal for her in their beautiful gardens. Middleton Lodge wedding photography is always a joy to shoot. Helen and Joe were looking for a traditional country house summer wedding with a relaxed vibe which is precisely what Middleton Lodge delivered.
We’ll get back to all the reason why we love being Middleton Lodge Wedding photographers and videographers in a minute. Let’s start at the beginning of Helen and Joe’s day.
The wedding ceremony was held in St Michael All Angels in the pretty village of Middleton Tyas (just down the road from Middleton Lodge). A pretty church with a rich history that remains a focal point for village life to this day.
Helen and her father travelled there in style in a beautiful white vintage car.
Helen looked amazing in a timeless off the shoulder fitted dress and veil that she bought from Halfpenny in London. It gave her the most amazing silhouette in all of our images of her. She absolutely beamed all day (Yorkshire wedding photographers love a smiley bride!)
After a beautiful ceremony everybody headed outside for a fantastic confetti moment and we took the chance to take a few images before everyone boarded fun double-decker red buses that took them straight to Middleton Lodge. Now we get to talk about Middleton Lodge wedding photography! Middleton Lodge is a dream booking. A Georgian country retreat set in 200 acres of rural North Yorkshire countryside. Seeing it for the first time is a real ‘wow’ moment.
On arrival Helen, Joe and their guests enjoyed a drinks reception at the wonderfully romantic Fig House, Middleton Lodge’s purpose-built private venue set in two acres of stunning walled gardens. The wedding reception started with Helen and Joe being received by their guests’ enthusiastically before everybody sat down to enjoy the wedding breakfast and speeches.
Now entertainment at Helen and Joe’s wedding was a real family affair. Jenny (Joe’s sister) sang their first dance and Joe’ Dad’s band ‘Bad Girls Groove’ played a set to get the party started. And boy were this lot up for a party!
Helen and Joe’s Middleton Lodge wedding was a joy to shoot from beginning to end. A gorgeous couple, a gorgeous venue and a wedding full of love and laughter. What more could anyone ask for!
We’ll leave the last word to them. Here’s what they had to say about us.
‘The quality of the product and service are second to none. Such a worthwhile investment we would recommend them to anyone and everyone. The trailer blew everyone’s socks off. People I rarely speak to on Instagram were getting in touch saying how epic it was. As did everyone who saw it! So many people said that wedding videos weren’t their thing but our wedding video has made them consider having one for their wedding days. They are by far the best ones we have ever seen capturing the mood perfectly and giving a great overview of the day.The style is just perfect. The moody ones with the clouds, the romantic ones in the church, and all of the laughter. And of course, our best man hanging from the ceiling!’
