Hedsor House – Homun & David

Homun and David had a beautiful Hedsor House Wedding: a stunning venue in the heart of the Buckinghamshire countryside. As a Buckinghamshire Wedding Photographer, I get to visit Hedsor House a few times a year which is always a pleasure! Right from the get-go they were determined to make it a fusion of all things they love culturally, take advantage of the gorgeous setting and at the same time make it as much fun as possible for the guests invited.  I think it was safe to say they more than exceeded that. I had an amazing day full of banter, laughs, a few rides and questionable dance moves….sometimes had to remember I was there to do a job!!!  The morning started with a nod to traditional Chinese customs, with firstly the traditional Chinese Tea ceremony complete with Homun in a traditional Chinese bridal gown. Then it was onto some games for the groom and his best men. Homuns bridesmaids made sure they were of sufficient hilarity to make sure David was worthy of his bride and his groomsmen as good sports fully joined in. It was then on to the more western civil ceremony and a change of clothes for both Homun and David. Homun looked absolutely stunning in her wedding dress and David looked pretty dapper too! As part of the day they had both played on a full set of fairground rides for their guests to have fun, complete with prizes. I think it’s fair to say, I can tell a bride and groom are my kind of people when they, and especially the bride, is willing to have a go on a Rodeo Bull in full wedding attire!!! After that, it was on to a delicious three-course meal, cake cutting and then on the dance floor to dance the night away into the early hours. Congratulations Homun and David, thanks so much for allowing me to be part of your day and being so adamant that you just wanted me to do my thing, you guys ROCK big time, with bells on!!!
