Shooting Syon Park wedding photography is always a pleasure. Grade 1 listed Syon Park is one of the most beautiful country estates in England and one of the last great houses of London.
Throughout the centuries, Syon has hosted some lavish parties since the 9th Earl entertained King James 1 in 1603. And now may be lucky enough to host your wedding too!
It really is an awesome wedding venue. You’d struggle to find a London wedding photographer who didn’t list it as one of their favourites.
If you’re looking to create a wow moment the second your guests see your wedding venue, then this is it. Seriously instagramable – It’s no wonder Syon Park is a favourite for film locations.
Boasting a rich history, the estate has beautiful historically rich buildings and rooms full of charm and character.
Syon House has grand classical interiors, a stunning black and white marble floor and a wealth of art adorning the walls giving us fantastic backdrops when shooting wedding films at Syon Park.
Outside the 40-acres of gardens have a rich 600-year history of their own. Romantic lakes, perfectly manicured lawns, fountains and formal flower beds all make idyllic backdrops in our images when we shoot wedding photography at Syon Park.
Calm, idyllic and beautiful it feels like you’re in the middle of the English countryside when in fact you are just 9 miles from Charing Cross.
Unique Venue For Any Type of Wedding Ceremony – Syon Park
A Wedding Venue Like Nothing You Have Seen Or Experienced Before
When you enter Syon Park’s imposing doors you enter the magnificent Great Hall and your eyes are immediately drawn to the Doric columns of a Roman Basilica.
It makes you feel like you’re in a Graec-Roman palace and is the perfect backdrop when shooting Syon Park wedding photography.
The Great Hall can host formal and majestic wedding ceremonies, receptions and parties for up to 120 guests. Smaller more intimate ceremonies for up to 50 guests can be held in the State Dining Room.
Drinks and canapes receptions are usually held in the private Inner courtyard with beautiful views of the colonnades architecture and ornately arranged flower beds of white and cream scented blooms.
The evening party usual takes place in the Great Conservatory. Built in the early nineteenth century this enormous glass house was home to plants from all corners of the earth. Its distinctive domed ceiling was the precursor to the Crystal Palace.
Still in excellent condition it makes the most perfect space for an evening wedding party. It can host 160 seated guests and 200 standing.
You Will Never Forget Syon Park – Don’t fight it!
Adorned with palms and exotic plants this glass structure makes a unique backdrop when we shoot Syon Park wedding films. As the Great Conservatory is a working conservatory it has no heating. This means it is not available to hire in winter months.
Talking of winter months, you can get married at Syon House all year round. When we shoot winter wedding photography at Syon House we love it when the evening celebrations start.
This is because they start with guests following the couple in a formal procession via the wooded and secluded Queens Walk to the Great Conservatory and we always get some fantastically natural and unposed images.
Syon Park Is An Venue Like No-Other
If you’re planning a really large Syon Park wedding then The Walled Garden is ideal. Syon Park has a long history of entertaining guests on a lavish and grand scale and with a capacity for 200-600 guests (800 standing!) they are still able to do so today.
The Walled Garden at Syon Park specialise in large luxurious celebrations so is the perfect venue for Asian weddings. In fact, they specialise in Jewish, Hindu and Sikh weddings and have a page on their website about them.
The Walled Garden marquee is a discrete luxury structure that sits to one side of Syon House and comes with 4 acres of private gardens so that your guests can spill out and enjoy an alfresco celebration under twinkling stars and lights.
Helicopters have been given permission to land before, in case you’re thinking about making an impressive arrival or exit from your wedding day.
