Belcombe Court Wedding Photography – Rebecca & Eric’ wedding at Belcombe Court.

If you always dreamed of saying ‘I do’ in the great British countryside, surrounded by natural beauty and evergreen lawns, then Belcombe Court is a wedding venue to add to your list. We love Belcombe Court Wedding Photography and have shot several weddings here, from traditional English affairs to a large Jewish wedding, I can vouch for its splendour, elegance and stunning grounds. Wedding Photography at Belcombe Court always looks stunning and very elegant.

Tucked away in Bradford-on-Avon in Wiltshire, Belcombe Court is a place of outstanding beauty, inside and out. It’s hard not to be impressed by its perfectly coiffed gardens with hidden treasures throughout.

This Grade 1 listed Georgian property, is the ultimate country house wedding venue. For those seeking refuge and privacy in a tranquil setting. The only gate crashers you can expect to stumble upon are a flock of Hebridean sheep, clucking chickens and not forgetting Sid the tortoise! Whenever I attend events here, I always enjoy watching the reaction of guests, as they discover little touches that give a clue to its history. The boules court offering a glimpse into a bygone British pastime, statues peppered throughout its grounds including ‘Athena’ on a stone base, and years’ old Oak trees, hedges and shrubbery that date back to the 18th century. I’m usually not the only one taking photographs!

Belcombe Court harks back to 1734. Designed by a formidable architect, the country house brings a classic twist on tradition, with an eclectic mix of furnishings that make it truly unique inside. It still holds many of its original features, including a grotto and ‘ruined temple’. These provide excellent backdrops for a couple’s wedding photos, which I’m told, quite often make it to their ‘thank you’ cards!

Indoors, there’s a touch of rustic chic about the property, especially the barn, where most of the celebrations take place. Bright flowers really bring the room to life, so be sure to add a pop of colour for your wedding photographs.  For sunnier days, there’s an open-air courtyard that is buzzing with excitement, for dining al-fresco.

Even the food here is a work of art, with a very ‘Instagram-able’ menu that brings local produce and seasonal flavours together. I’m not going to lie, their chocolate torte with strawberries and raspberries, is simply divine!

As a Belcombe Court Wedding Photographer, there’s a few things that you look for in the perfect venue; plenty of space for group photos and lashings of natural light. Belcombe Court possesses both in abundance. Set in four acres of greenery, its landscaped gardens are even registered by English heritage for holding special historic interest.

From a Belcombe Court Wedding Photographers perspective, its hills give a great depth to the photos, that create breath-taking images. If you can find it, the ruined temple gives an almost regal feel to the property and is a prime location for capturing a special photo of the happy couple. It’s one of my favourite hidden spots. Outdoors, there’s plenty of brilliant backdrops for your wedding photography; for a touch of decadence, there’s an infinity pool overlooking rolling hills. Or perhaps just its luscious lawns, with the grand manor blurred into the background.

There’s also something endlessly romantic about the lake; nestled in a remote and peaceful part of the sprawling gardens, it’s a lovely spot for newlyweds to take time out and take it all in. It’s in these precious moments, that I capture some of the most intimate moments, that make touching memories.

There’s something quite charming and reassuringly English about this property, that appeals to wedding parties. It’s especially inviting for those with international guests since it’s Britishness personified!

This makes it a great location for guests wishing to extend their stay (the house sleeps 18 guests). The neighbouring area of Bath (just seven miles away) is a celebration of our rich history; with plenty of museums and tourist’s attractions that go back to Roman times. Belcombe Court also doubles up as a yoga and Pilates retreat too, should your guests wish to make the most of the peaceful setting.

A real bonus, Belcombe Court is perfect for smaller get-togethers, as well as larger soirees. Come summer, their gardens are ideal for marquees, accommodating up to 200 guests. That said, most of the weddings I’ve attended here tend to be around half that number.

Nonetheless, whatever time of year you come, you can expect to be greeted with pristine gardens, cocooned in the privacy of your own countryside pile.

Belcombe Court Wedding Photography is everything you’d hope for and more in a perfect country house wedding venue.

I’m told that many of the couples that marry here return time and again; I’m not surprised.
