Masseria Amastuola Wedding photographers – Natalie and Dan’s wedding at Masseria Amastuola
As experienced wedding photographers in Italy, we always love returning to capture wedding photography in Puglia. Natalie and Dan’s destination wedding was a total joy to capture.
We first met these two when we captured their pre-wedding photoshoot in London. And knew from spending time with them then that their wedding was going to be fun.
Masseria Amastuola is located in Puglia. This wine resort includes a manor house dating back to the 15th century, that has been carefully restored to retain its original charm. Outside is a traditional Italian courtyard and the building is surrounded by vineyards and olive groves.
The experienced wedding team at Masseria Amastuola specialise in luxury destination weddings.
We travelled to Masseria Amastuola with the wedding party as it gave us a chance to get to know everybody so that by the time it came to us photographing and filming them, they were totally relaxed around us. The weekend wedding itinerary was for a Saturday pre-wedding drinks party, the wedding on Sunday and a pool party the following day on bank holiday Monday.
For the wedding, Natalie wore a stunning Suzanne Neville dress that she bought at their Knightsbridge boutique. It fanned out in beautiful soft floaty layers of an A-line skirt giving her an amazing silhouette. Her hair had been beautifully styled by hairstylist Nicolas Selvo and her flawless make-up had been applied by professional make-up artist Eleanor Harnden.
Before heading out to the ceremony, we captured a really sweet father seeing the bride moment.
Dan and his groom’s party all looked very smart in light beige check three-piece suits from Hatters in Norwich.
For a colour scheme, Natalie and Dan opted for natural colours to blend with the local flora and fauna choosing eucalyptus and olive shades. Bridesmaids wore eucalyptus dresses from Jarlo and the colour was woven through the décor and flowers with local florist Rollo Fiori creating some amazing arrangements.
The wedding ceremony took place outside on the lawn with Natalie and Dan saying their vows in front of two towers of beautiful flowers and the stunning countryside beyond. After a beautiful ceremony, everybody enjoyed a drinks reception and whilst guests were happily catered for, we whisked Natalie and Dan away for a few minutes for a few romantic portrait images. Here, take a look!
Dan is a chef so wasn’t taking any chances with the food, he worked with Masseria Amastuola’s in-house chef to create a bespoke wedding menu. It consisted of eight separate stations of amazing traditional Italian foods, followed by a three-course meal. The food was amazing and really wowed all of Natalie and Dan’s guests. These guys also opted for a traditional Italian millie fuielle (Italian wedding cake)
It’s the little touches at weddings that tell us something about our couple’s personalities. At Natalie and Dan’s wedding, we loved the ‘generations of love’ table to remember guests who were unable to attend the wedding or had passed away. Natalie and Dan lost their beloved dog Barney a year before so set a space for him at the top table and marked it with a painting of him and a dog bowl with his name on it. It’s always lovely to see couples find a way to remember loved ones lost on their wedding days.
Now, when it came to entertainment Natalie and Dan thought of everything. First, there was a branded selfie mirror with their own wedding monogram on it, there was also an instant Polaroid camera for guests to use. There were surprise fireworks during the first dance, after which then guests were treated to a performance by the Ultra Live Band, whose live performance thrilled everybody. The party was then placed in the capable hands of DJ Danny Howen who with a live saxophonist, saw that the dancefloor remained full for the rest of the night.
Natalie and Dan’s destination wedding in Puglia was an epic three-day celebration that we were thrilled to be part of. Thanks for having us there, guys, we loved it!
We’ll leave the last words to them. Here are Natalie and Dan’s thoughts on us
“YOU GUYS ARE INCREDIBLE! I would recommend you to anyone and everyone I come across because seriously you went above and beyond, and then above and beyond again our expectations. You’ve captured the most special moments that we will treasure forever.
Honestly, we are OVER THE MOON with the photography and videography. I kid you not when I say we look at the pictures and watch the video every single day without fail! I cry every time and you just captured the whole thing SO perfectly, I never ever expected to love a group of pictures and videos so much but they all hold so much emotion and love.
Both Mick and Ash have captured the feeling of the day in both photos and videos and I’m not even sure how they did it!! They joined in with the party and were both truly incredible and the result is incredibly natural photos and videos capturing the pure.
