LONDON PRE-WEDDING AND ENGAGEMENT PHOTOGRAPHY
Your relationship as a couple is unique and the pre-wedding shoot is our chance to get to know you both, to see how you interact together and really listen to what’s important to you. We’ll also show you how easy it is to be on camera and so whether you’re used to being on camera or not, you’ll be able to relax knowing we’ll be capturing everything that’s important to you in mind.
We really try and create a relaxed and fun atmosphere. This allows you to be yourselves, helps portray authenticity and at the same time gives us freedom to be creative and really explore ideas. We'll give you a little bit of direction but we're confident that even within the first few moments we'll be able to capture something you'll be ecstatic with. At the same time it will feel natural for you and dependent on how much you want to push the 'artistic envelope' we're happy to keep creating!
Some couples just want an all natural session, whilst others want to take advantage of our award winning super artistic style, others want a varying mix of the two. We'll work with you to achieve that perfect balance. We hope this means you'll end up with images and/or film that whilst wows and impresses also shows off who you really are.
We shoot weddings all over the World and spend a fair amount of time traveling to different countries to capture destination weddings. This means if you want a destination pre-wedding shoot, we can make that happen pretty easily. FAQ's
Do we have to be engaged?
Whilst the pre-wedding shoot is included in our wedding packages and whilst we are wedding photographers, we also get many couples who are not yet engaged who perhaps want a photo session to remember their time in the UK (or anywhere else in the World), celebrate their relationship or to create some amazing mementoes or capture some moments of this time in their lives. So no, you don't have to be engaged.
I’m already married - Does that matter?
No we get many requests from couples who booked other companies for their wedding and sadly either missed out on good couple photos on their day, maybe didn't have the time on the day or just in hindsight just don't connect with those photos anymore. So they re book a session with us. We also get couples who want to celebrate a special anniversary or just want to celebrate where their relationship is now.
What's the best time to shoot?
We definitely are obsessed with light, it's the number one thing that allows us to play around with and get really creative. For that reason we prefer either an early morning just after sunrise or early evening as it has that beautiful golden light. However we can make anytime of day work dependent on your needs.
What should we wear?
Anything that you feel good in but also feel comfortable in. Dress up, dress down, smart, casual it's entirely up to you and what vibe you want the session to portray. Whatever you choose to wear serves as visual inspiration for us. The main thing we want you to be is yourselves. If you try to be anything different it would look or feel natural.
What location is best?
If you have booked us for your wedding, the best location for your complimentary pre wedding shoot is either Holland Park if you like a more natural type vibe or Southbank if you want more of an urban feel. If you're looking to upgrade your engagement shoot or are booking a pre-wedding shoot with us independently of wedding, then we're happy to shoot anywhere. We can work with you to find a location that would be suitable for you.
What if the weather is bad?
If you think bad weather is bad for photography and videography, we are sorry to say, you’re wrong! We have captured wedding and pre-wedding shoots in all sorts of weather from torrential rain and hurricane winds to blistering heat and direct sun. No matter what the weather it just means we need to be even more creative, sometimes having to think outside the box can produce amazing results that you weren't expecting.
What is the duration of the shoot?
If your engagement session is included in your wedding package then it's usually up to one hour. WE find that is plenty of time to show you a few things and capture enough images and film for you. But we can accommodate anything from one hour to a whole day depending on how many locations you'd like to visit and how many images you want or how long you want the film to be. We have packages to cover every length.
We are super shy, what can you do?
95% of the couple we work with are a apprehensive about getting in front of the camera - it is a completely normal feeling. However, we're confident that by the end of the engagement session you'll be amazed at the results and how easy it was. Dare we say it, how much fun you had!! We'd prefer for the whole to session to feel like you were just hanging out with some friends, had a laugh, did some fun things but your new friends just happened to have cameras.
