Hedsor Hall wedding photographers – Imogen and Sam’s Day
We first met Imogen and Sam when we captured their pre-wedding shoot in London’s Holland Park. So seeing them again felt like catching up with friends. We always love returning to be Hedsor House wedding photographers, Imogen and Sam chose the perfect location for their winter wedding in Buckinghamshire.
Hedsor Hall is a luxury Georgian Mansion and award-winning wedding venue situated in 100 acres of stunning parkland and gardens. We capture wedding photography at Hedsor Hall so often, that coming here always feels like coming home.
Late November was extra special because Hedsor Hall was dressed for Christmas. Imogen and Sam love Christmas, and their wedding planners Caper & Berry tied their colour scheme and styling in with the tastefully decorated house. The flowers for example, that were the clever creation of florist Seventh Heaven, included red roses and holly as well as white Freesia’s in honour of Sam’s late mother as they were her favourite flowers. It’s always lovely to see loved ones lost incorporated into wedding days.
On the day, we got there early to capture some morning of the footage. Imogen was getting ready in one of Hedsor Hall’s beautiful suites and we got some great images. Sam’s favourite was this one of her putting her shoes on. It has a vintage Hollywood glamour about it. Here, take a look!
Imogen looked stunning in her Joyce Young dress. It had an off-shoulder style with a tight bodice into a beautiful A-line skirt. The style really suited Imogen’s long slender frame. She teamed it with a simple veil and a pearl necklace. Her hair was styled to effortlessly cascade down her back and her make-up was immaculate and had been expertly applied. Both hair and make-up were by Kate Mitchell. Imogen looked like she’d just stepped out of the pages of a glossy bridal magazine.
Sam looked very smart in a traditional black tuxedo suit that was custom-made by Hackett London.
The wedding ceremony was held in Hedsor House’s stunning Italianate villa-style centre hall. It’s awe-inspiring domed ceiling is the centrepiece of the house, and its opulent period interiors brimming with Georgian grandeur make a beautiful backdrop for wedding photos.
After a gorgeous ceremony, guests enjoyed a drinks reception. Despite being late November, the weather was dry and mild enough. We got a lovely image of Imogen and Sam with their baby son Kit and their dog who was rocking a massive bow tie. The perfect wedding day family portrait.
With guests happily catered for, we whisked Imogen and Sam away for a mini photoshoot around the stunning grounds and gardens of Hedsor Hall. The images we got of them set against a misty sunset were just stunning. And we know were amongst Imogen and Sam’s favourites of the day. Here, take a look!
We then re-joined Imogen and Sam’s guests for a sumptuous three-course wedding breakfast.
We know that food was very important to Imogen and Sam and they hired caterers Caper & Berry who provided a delicious three-course meal that all of the guests were thrilled with. During the meal, there were also some very well-received speeches.
Evening celebrations started with the cutting of the most delicious-looking cake made by Le Papillon Cakes, followed by a romantic first dance for Imogen and Sam on the gorgeous checkerboard dancefloor.
Now these guys weren’t taking any chances when it came to the evening celebrations. They arranged for a live performance from band Murdoch’s Crazy Eyes, who did excellent covers of big 80’s hits that had everybody singing along. This was followed by a DJ who played classics 80’s, disco and a bit of rave to finish off with. And for those looking for a break from the dance floor, there was fresh hot pizza.
A gorgeous wedding for his gorgeous pair. Congratulations to Imogen and Sam for getting married and creating such an amazing day to remember. We hope our images and film will allow you to relive it again and again for many years to come.
We’ll leave the last words to Imogen and Sam. Here are their thoughts on us.
“For me it was super important to have a good connection with anyone providing a service or helping out on such a huge life event and I felt what with you guys. Two normal blokes that felt like two of my longstanding mates on that day. You made me feel so at ease, you got involved with the banter and shared such enthusiasm for our wedding but at the same time were so professional and true to your purpose at the event.
I couldn’t imagine having anyone else there and would recommend you in a heartbeat. Several of the lads commented on how good you were, always in the mix and capturing the moments. From the both of us, just thank you. You boys are different gravy and we can’t wait to see the final results.
I still can’t watch our wedding film without choking up. The song adds to the emotion as it is Immy’s favourite but I literally feel myself reliving that day every time I watch it. Incredibly evocative.
Never did we think we would get a few shots shown to us on the day. They were epic. How lucky were we with a misty sunset at the end of November in the middle of a rainy week! The picture you got with Immy getting ready looking like a dark-haired Marilyn Monroe is actually unreal as is the one in her dress with the pearl necklace. They are all just unreal.”
