Justin & Berenger

Wedding photography in France – Berenger and Justin

We had the best time photographing Berenger and Justin’s gorgeous wedding in Allonville, France.
The pair got ready at Berenger’s parent’s house in Allonville and we got there early to capture some great images of the boys as they made their preparations. Guests were congregating in the garden and there was a real buzz of excitement.
The boys looked great in their suits from Blandin & Delloye in Paris complemented by bow ties and socks knitted by Justin. Creative Justin also made the boutonnieres from scratch using a hazelnut tree branch and some pheasant feathers. He did this on the morning of the wedding as we looked on in wonder at his skills!
Berenger and Justin walked to Allonville Town Hall for their wedding ceremony and were welcomed by all of their guests. There was a party atmosphere at this wedding before these guys got to take their vows.
It is a tradition in France to have your official wedding ceremony at the old town hall. What was special was that it was officiated by Berenger’s father’s friend. Everybody then headed to the Salle des Fetes Town Hall to the garden for a second more personal ceremony. With Berenger and Justin travelling there on bicycles. Here, take a look!
The second ceremony was held in the gardens of the Salle de Fete and was more personal with readings, songs and wedding wishes from guests. Berenger and Justin also performed some traditional Korean wedding traditions. For this, they wore costumes called hanbok and they bowed to their parents and got blessings from them. The hanboks were custom made in Korea and delivered by Justin’s cousin Taesong. It made a lovely addition to the wedding day to see both cultures represented alongside one another.
Salle de Fete was the perfect venue for Berenger and Justin’s wedding as they were able to really stamp their personalities onto it. The wedding breakfast was held inside the Salle de Fete where the tables were already laid and dressed beautifully in line with the weddings woodland theme.
We love little touches at weddings as they tell us something of our couples personalities, at Berenger and Justin’s wedding we loved the way the tables were decorated with palm tree leaves, salt dough mushrooms and wood trunk planks. They complimented the woodland theme of the wedding and were another nod to how creative these pair are.
As the sunset, the fairy lights came on and it was time to celebrate. Justin and Berenger’s guests did not need any coaxing onto the dancefloor. This lot were up for a party! And it was the image of Justin and Berenger having it large on the dancefloor with all of their loved ones around them that seemed the perfect image to close the story of their lovely wedding day.
A gorgeous fun-filled French wedding with Korean traditions for this gorgeous pair. Thanks for having us there guys. We loved it. We’ll leave the last words to Berenger and Justin. Here’s what they had to say about working with us.
“We highly recommend MIKI Studios and Mick. He is an easy-going guy who can only elevate your special day to the next level. He is able to make the most camera-shy people feel comfortable and look their best. All of his images capture the beautiful once-in-a-lifetime moments so well that we can always look back and re-live the day as if it were just yesterday.
The photos look exactly like the day of the wedding. So many beautiful candid images of people being happy and having a good time. We specifically didn’t want any videos because having seen Mick’s work before, the photos capture perfectly the sentiments of the day that the replays in our minds inspired by the photos are so vivid and alive. There was a slight overcast on the wedding day, which actually made the greeneries pop more, and we really love that in the photos”
