West Sussex Back Garden Photography – Victoria and Ben
We first met Victoria and Ben at Elliot and Amelia’s wedding at Masseria Grieco in Italy – another amazing wedding. We met them again for their pre-wedding photoshoot in South Kensington so seeing them again felt like catching up with friends.
These two couldn’t decide between a spring or a summer wedding so went for the middle and opted to get married in June. And as their wedding reception was being held in Victoria’s parents garden it was the perfect month to show it in full bloom.
Victoria looked absolutely stunning in a Jesus Peiro dress that she bought at Miss Bush Bridal. It managed to be traditional and modern at once with a gorgeous A-line skirt and a clever jacket that came off for dinner. It really suited Victoria as she looked so relaxed and comfortable in it, like it had been made with her in mind. Her make-up had been immaculately applied by amazing make-up artist Jo Elizbeth and her hair was elegantly styled by Natalie from Jo Hansford in Mayfair. Victoria’s six bridesmaids looked elegant in light and dark green dresses from Ghost.
Ben and his grooms’ party all looked very smart in morning suits from Cad and the Dandy.
The wedding ceremony was held in Victoria’s local church St Mary Magdelene in the pretty village of Bolney in Mid Sussex. And Victoria travelled there in style in a gorgeous white vintage rolls Royce provided by West Sussex Wedding Cars.
After the ceremony, everybody headed to Victoria’s parent’s house for the reception. Which was really special as it is where Victoria’s parents had their wedding reception too. Victoria and Ben made a statement arrival in that gorgeous white vintage Rolls Royce.
On arrival, drinks and hot and cold canapes were served on the lawn provided by caterer Imogen Tyler who did all of the catering on the day especially making sure all the drinks were ice cold! Guests were entertained by string duo Saffron Strings, whilst taking in the beauty of the garden in bloom. We’ve been told to give the family gardener Tess a shoutout at this point, to whom the family are very grateful – Just take a look at the garden and wisteria!
The florist for the day was Emma from Tigers to Lilies who worked closely with the family to create arrangements that perfectly blended with the wedding colour scheme and the garden. And we know that everybody was blown away by the outcome, especially the flower hoop and the climbing decorations on the wedding tent.
The wedding breakfast started with a delightful surprise with singing waiters who had everybody singing along and set the tone for a fun afternoon. And since we’re talking food, we must mention the gorgeous two-tiered wedding cake decorated with peonies made by the very talented Erin from Birch House Bakery.
For evening celebrations Victoria and Ben booked the multi-award winning band Mode who did two sets filling the dancefloor with all of Victoria and Ben’s favourite songs. This was followed by a DJ who saw that the dancefloor remained full all night.
A fun and elegant summer garden wedding for a fun and elegant couple. Congratulations to Victoria and Ben for creating such an amazing wedding for yourselves, your family and your friends to remember. And thanks for having us there. We had the best time!

“Having seen Mick & Ash in action at our friend’s wedding the previous year, they were our first booking once we got engaged and we are SO happy we did because their experience and skill is evident in everything they produced for us whilst also being extremely easy going and making sure we had a good time whilst working with them. Their ability to get to know you in advance of the wedding and understand what is important to you, not just for the wedding but as a couple meant they were able to capture moments we wouldn’t have been able to brief them on specifically but are so happy they did!
The photography and videography has absolutely blown us away, we were astounded to be shown previews the following day which took our breath away. The moments Mick & Ash have captured are exactly as we were hoping for, candid and of everyone enjoying themselves as much a we were. The photos of us together and the moments that were particularly special have been captured in such a way, we relive them every time we look at them.
