Rockbeare Manor Wedding Photography and Rockbeare Manor Wedding videography – Nicola and James’ wedding at Rockbeare Manor, Exeter.
2018 was a year where capturing weddings by photo and film really took off for us and Nicola and James’ wedding is an amazing example of this. A new venue on the MIKI Studios map and two friends joined the MIKI Studios family.
A MASSIVE CONGRATULATIONS to Nicola and James on their awesome wedding at Rockbeare Manor in Exeter. These two were looking for a country manor wedding with beautiful outside space and Rockbeare Manor certainly ticked both boxes. It was a pleasure to be their Wedding Photographer at Rockbeare Manor.
Nicola looked stunning in her Drisara wedding dress made by Pronovias, it was really classic with lots of tulle layers, a large trail and some amazing embroidery across the front and was complimented perfectly by James in a classic French navy blue suit and a great waistcoat!
The weather was awesome so Nicola and James got to have the outdoor ceremony they wanted. They said their vows under the archway of the pavilion with views up towards Dartmoor in the distance. There was a slight breeze making everybody more comfortable in the heat and their guests were silent for the vows. 4tissimo String Quartet played a selection of their favourite songs. It was a really romantic and magical ceremony and we know it was James and Nicola’s favourite part of the day so it was great that we were filming the wedding for them. It looked like a wedding from a movie!
The wedding breakfast was held in Rockbeare Manor’s epic ballroom. Imagine giant chandeliers, high ceilings and full-length windows (giving us tonnes of light to work with) and tables elegantly dressed in white linen and amazing flowers. In fact, you don’t have to imagine take a look at our images. The wedding colour scheme was blushed pink, white and golds that worked really well with the light and airy feel of the ballroom.
We love a wedding favour and Nicola and James chose cute cake pops each individual named for their guests. The wedding cake was fantastic, made by ‘Cut me of a Slice’. Each of the four tiers was a different flavour!
Now Nicola and James weren’t taking any chances with the party. They hired a photo booth, a sweet cart and a popcorn machine. They also hired top-quality audio and lighting kit from Pro Sound and Lighting and worked with friend and DJ Lee Michael to create the perfect playlist for their wedding party. Nothing was left to chance and the result was epic. We had so much fun, this lot knew how to party!
Shooting Rockbeare Manor Wedding Photography and Videography is one of our highlights of 2018, we are truly grateful and our memories of that SUNNY day will last a long time. Thank you guys for choosing us to tell the story of your amazing day. Here’s what they had to say about us …
“Mick and Ash are two great guys who have a great sense of humour but take their work very seriously. We chose them as their work from other weddings we saw was top class and their videography blew us away. We would strongly recommend them to others as they are a good laugh, make the photos on the day stress and hassle-free, clearly know what they’re doing and can work well with different venues. I think they enjoyed the wedding party as much as us as they stayed quite late!”
