Wedding Photography at Town Hall Hotel

Award-winning Grade II listed Town Hall hotel in East London is a former town hall that has been converted into a fantastic hotel and wedding venue.  Built in 1906, the restoration has seen the buildings art deco history be lovingly embraced alongside clean modern lines and all the comforts you would expect from an award-winning London wedding venue and hotel.

The Town Hall Hotel is so stylish it has long been a favourite location for film crews, fashion shoots and music videos.

The team at Town Hall Hotel boast themselves on taking weddings very personally and allocate a personal wedding planner to every wedding they book.  Exclusive use allows guests to fully explore all the quirks and unusual architecture of this beautiful building that seamlessly blends a classic and contemporary setting.

When we shoot wedding photography at Town Hall Hotel, we love the huge glass domes and ceiling to floor windows that make you feel outdoors when you’re in.  They also flood the venue with an abundance of natural light that we use to create beautiful images. (us London wedding photographers are light geeks.  We can’t talk about it enough!)

Catering to weddings from small and intimate to up to 200 guests for an evening reception.  They have distinct spaces for each stage of your wedding day.  Wedding ceremonies are usually held in the original Council Chamber.  With characterful wood panelling, the room still has the original lectern which makes a great backdrop when taking your vows.  The Council Chamber can seat up to 120 guests.

Drinks and canape receptions usually take place in the high ceilinged De Montfort Suite.  Characterised by its beautiful wood floors, mezzanine level, feature windows and a grand piano it’s perfect for reception drinks and canapes or is licensed to hold civil ceremonies for up to 60 seated guests.

Wedding receptions usually take place in the oak-panelled, art deco, Bethnal Hall.  Accessed by passing by Lovers Lane which is a wonderful wooden mural.  Which the more eager-eyed of guests will notice, is named Lovers Lane for good reason!

Bethnal Hall is an original 1930’s wooden panelled room, it has movable walls so is a flexible space that is perfect for dining and dancing.  For dinner, it accommodates 60 -120 seated guests, but for partying it can accommodate up to 200 guests.  And with a state-of-the-art sound, lighting and climate control systems you really do have everything you need for a full-on wedding celebration.

Unlike traditional town hall wedding venues, this one is a hotel so it has comfortable and modern accommodation on site.  And as it is a heritage building, all of the rooms are spacious and individually designed.

You can opt for a ceremony only hire and then choose to have your wedding reception elsewhere.  As Town Hall Hotel is in the heart of London’s vibrant East End it is close to some wonderful wedding venues and restaurants.

So, if this award-winning hotel and wedding venue, that is a favourite in the world of film, fashion and music, is the East London wedding venue you’ve been looking for – then you should definitely pay a visit to Town Hall Hotel.

Once you’ve booked your wedding at the Town Hall Hotel, you’ll no doubt be looking for an East London wedding photographer.  Feel free to get in touch.
