Northbrook Park Wedding Photography & Film
We loved shooting and filming Kavita and David’s amazing wedding. Split into two parts they had a traditional Sikh ceremony at Brent Sikh Centre. With all of the wedding party in a traditional dress, they looked spectacular. Kavita saying “The weight, embroidery and all the accessories (especially David’s sword) made us feel like royalty!”
A lovely moment was the tearful goodbye ceremony where it is a tradition for the bride to thank her parents for all of their love and care over the years. You can see from the images that it was a beautiful and colourful ceremony that was a real feast for the eyes.
The second part of the wedding was a larger celebration at Northbrook Park. A Grade II listed eighteenth-century manor house set with a beautiful country estate, Northbrook Park is a seriously impressive wedding venue. We love a wow moment when you arrive at venues and Northbrook Park does just that. When you arrive there are spectacular views of the lake, then you get your first glimpse of the majestic manor house with peacocks on the lawn at it takes your breath away. Kavita and David said they fell in love with the venue (and the peacocks!) the second they saw it!
The wedding ceremony was held in the classically elegant Vine Room, featuring crystal chandeliers, delicate vine-leaf engravings and marble floor. As photographers, our favourite feature was the tall French windows that flooded the room with natural light (us photographers are obsessed with light!)
Kavita looked elegant and glamorous in her My Trousseau dress. She chose it carefully because she wanted an East meets West fusion for her dress and certainly pulled it off. She looked amazing. Kavita and David’s good friend Rich was their celebrant which made it all the more personal. Add to that the beautiful harp playing and it really was a fairy-tale wedding ceremony.
After the ceremony, there were canapes and magic tricks from magician Magic Singh who entertained Kavita and David’s guests. The wedding reception was held in Northbrook Park’s beautiful Orangery.
We love the Orangery at Northbrook Park, with its flagstone and hardwood floor, exposed brickwork walls and ceiling to floor glass doors leading out on the beautiful walled garden what’s not to love! We also love the little details at weddings and at Kavita and David’s they used a vintage suitcase for their seating plan and named each table after a place they were going to visit on their honeymoon in South America.
Other delightful details at Kavita and David’s wedding were the fantastic wedding cake on a swing and the Dhol player drumming the couple into their reception and a sweet ice-cream cart that proved to be popular with guests both young and old!
The evening was when everybody really let their hair down and the east meets west feel of the wedding culminated in a party with glow sticks, bhangra, hip hop and dance music! On a scale of 1 to 10, we’d rate their wedding party like an 11. It was epic!
Kavita and David had two amazing wedding ceremonies and one fantastic wedding reception. The fusion of the two culture blended seamlessly creating the most perfect wedding. Congratulations you two and thanks for having us there. We’ll leave the last words to Kavita and David. Here’s what they said about working with us.
“You were perfect. You captured all of the emotion from the two days and managed to meet all expectations of both the cultures that were involved in the wedding! We’re in love with our wedding photographs. The video has had us and all of our friends and families in tears! So many beautiful moments were captured!”
