Hiten & Kaushika had a Bhaktivedanta Manor Hare Krishna Wedding. I met them and their whole family when I covered their good friends Atish and Deepika’s wedding last New Years Eve. I always love returning to cover weddings of couples and families I’ve already met because it does always feel like being around family or old friends and none more so than these two.
They’re always up for a laugh so covering their wedding was a real joy. They had a civil and religious ceremony both at the Manor with a whole host of Hindu wedding traditions. Being Asian my self the thing I love about these weddings is that they’re always colourful, hectic but a lot of fun and no one quite knows what’s going on except for the priest and maybe a sage old auntie in the corner! LOL That being said it’s always wonderful and evident to see the close family bonds that exist in such cultures plus they love you (the photographer) to get stuck in and get involved.
All in all, it was a fantastic day and congratulations Hiten & Kausihika you guys are AWESOME and thanks so much for just letting me get on and do my thing, it was a huge joy to be a part of and be back amongst such welcoming, warm and wonderful people.
