When Dave first emailed me to say could I cover his wedding and they were having it in Clare’s parents back garden with a few family and friends, i honestly expected a small intimate setting. So on the morning when I turned up in Shropshire imagine my surprise when I was greeted by stunning views of beautiful English countryside and a marquee set up to hold 140+ guests!!! Although it pretty much rained all day (we got a bit of sun in the eve and pretty much legged it outside) and there was a slight wardrobe malfunction with Clare ‘s dress (a button came off but Clare’s mum came to the rescue) nothing was going to dampen anyone’s spirits and it was just an awesome day from beginning to end. From meeting up with Dave his Army colleagues (he’s a British Army Doctor) in the pub all the way to the party at the end everyone constantly had a big grin on their face and I pretty much had a laugh too. I met Dave & Clare at one of the first wedding’s I ever shot (Mike & Lucy’s superb 1920’s themed Wedding) so when you get to see so many familiar faces including a past bride and groom it’s always feels like a bit of a reunion and sometimes I’m enjoying myself sooo much I have to remind myself I’m actually at the wedding to do something!!! Lol Congratulations Dave & Clare and thank you soo much for allowing me to be part of such a wonderful occasion, here’s a few from the day….
