Deborah & James Wedding – (Hackney)

Deborah & James are very cool (to see how cool check out their e-shoot here ) and very relaxed, so relaxed that when it came to organising their wedding Deborah kind of left herself one week to get everything sorted – I think I was more concerned about her wedding plans than she was! lol But to be honest that whole relaxed and chilled vibe was exactly the vibe they were going for and it was an amazing day!  They started off in the flat in Hackney a stone’s throw away from the Olympic Park, having breakfast together surrounded by family and friends, including both their mums.  In a nice touch rather than have a best-man, James chose four of his closest childhood mates to help him out and give him moral support as they went off to Hackney Town Hall, followed then by Debs and family.  Deborah’s sister was the closest thing she had to a bridesmaid – and she did a FAB job of helping me hang dresses in lifts and on walls!!! lol  After a very touching ceremony, including a great choice of reading by James’s friend Christian,  they then went to The Empress for their reception lunch, which by the way had some amazing food and contender for dessert of the season award!  After speeches, the whole wedding party then walked through Victoria Park to The Crown pub where they were joined by more friends in the evening.  I love the fact that Deborah and James wanted to keep everything so personal – The Empress being their favourite restaurant and The Crown being their local, coupled with the fact that they were surrounded by only the closest family and friends (and what great characters they were!) meant that I really had a chance to get to know everyone, so I really felt like a guest rather than a ‘hired professional’ which, for me, is definitely always COOL! : ) Here are a few from the day….

Excellent photos! I feel like I was there, although I’m writing from California. You did a top job of capturing the casual feel of the day yet still getting the required wedding shots with an artistic twist. Well done!

I’m amazed, I have to admit. Rarely do I come across a blog that’s equally educative and interesting, and let
me tell you, you’ve hit the nail on the head.

The problem is something that not enough men and women
are speaking intelligently about. I am very happy that I found this in my hunt for something relating to this.
