Chelsea Town Hall Wedding Photography
On Chelsea’s world-famous King’s Road sits Chelsea Town Hall. This architecturally impressive building of late Victorian design is a fantastic place to get married which is why time and again we love returning to shoot wedding photography at Chelsea Town Hall.
A host of celebrities have tied the knot at Chelsea Town Hall. So, if it’s good enough for Judy Garland, Pierce Brosnan, Marc Bolan, Richard Burton and Hugh Grant we are sure you will find the perfect room for you here. The rooms can be booked individually for smaller weddings right through to large lavish affairs offering the best VIP treatment.
As wedding photographers, we always love shooting town hall weddings. Chelsea Town Hall’s fantastic location and stunning views make it one of the best wedding venues in London. Its sheer size makes it one of the few Town Hall’s that is large enough to accommodate wedding receptions as well. And its vaulted ceilings, marble columns, wood-panelled walls and ornate chandeliers make a fantastic backdrop.
At Chelsea Town Hall, couples can choose to get married in The Main Hall with elegant interiors and a wealth of original features including a musicians’ gallery and a collection of original oil paintings. Or they offer three smaller ceremony rooms for couples to choose from according to the size, budget and style of their wedding.
The Small Hall is a light and airy room with lots of natural daylight. As with the Main Hall, it’s a richly decorated space with a striking, ornate fireplace taking centre stage. It can accommodate receptions of up to 180 people with dining facilities for up to 96 guests.
The newly refurbished Cadogan Suite has recently been renovated and now features a contemporary style that is very photogenic. It has its own kitchen which is perfect for your caterers.
Sitting next to it is The Anti Room, a smaller space that’s perfectly placed to receive guests for pre-dinner drinks and canapé reception. It is also perfectly suited for a smaller more intimate wedding ceremony. You can then choose to have your wedding breakfast or drinks in Chelsea Town Hall’s Main Room.
The Cadogan Suite and The Anti Room can be booked together and offer a host of flexible opportunities for the smooth running of your big day.
For ceremonies, The Brydon Room has capacity for 40 guests. A bold colour palette of yellows, pinks and purples make it a bright space with a grand yet laid back vibe.
Chelsea Town Hall’s smallest ceremony room is The Harrington Room. It can accommodate just 10 people so is perfect for very intimate and elopement weddings. Bold botanical prints on the walls and a colour palette of raspberry and purple give the room a really luxurious and colourful feel.
Chelsea Town Hall’s fantastic location makes it perfectly located close to several amazing wedding venues. Within walking distance, there is the luxurious Cooper’s Arms and The Hollywood Arms (for smallish weddings) and for large weddings, there’s the historically rich iconic Bluebird restaurant. To name just three!
So, if you’re looking for a London wedding photographer to capture your wedding photography at Chelsea Town Hall or you are thinking of getting married at another one of Londons top town hall wedding venues then get in touch. We’d love to hear about your plans.
