Wedding Photographer at Brympton D’Evercy House
Though primarily London wedding photographers we’re always excited for a road trip, especially when it is to shoot wedding photography at Brympton D’Evercy House in Yeovil, Somerset.
This medieval manor house stands majestically in 33 acres of stunning parkland and is the perfect wedding venue for couples looking for a seriously stylish and grand wedding celebration. And exclusive use means that we all get to enjoy and soak up everything this amazing South West wedding venue has to offer.
The start of our days always begin with bridal preparation images and Brympton D-Evercy’s bridal/honeymoon suite is perfect for this. Large windows that throw in lots of natural light and lots of period features make the perfect backdrop when we are photographing our brides, grooms and their wedding parties as they make their final preparations. Meanwhile excited guests can enjoy pre-ceremony drinks and snooker in the Brympton D’Evercy library bar and morning room.
Brympton D’Evercy House offers three different options for wedding ceremonies. There’s their onsite church, St Andrews, for those looking for something traditional, their church-style Castle House can set up to 150 guests or in good weather you can choose an outdoor service in the temple on the South Terrace and lawns that enjoy fantastic views across the lake.
After wedding ceremonies at Brympton D’Evercy, we usually head onto the terrace for the all-important confetti moment which is where guests can then enjoy a drinks and canapes reception overlooking the lake. For Winter weddings drinks receptions are held in the gorgeous Elizabethan Great Hall, which has beautiful period features including a roaring open fire that creates the perfect vibe for a cosy drinks’ reception.
Wedding receptions are when Brympton D’Evercy House really impresses. Their magnificent bright ballroom can seat up to 228 guests for a formal seated meal so is the ideal setting for larger weddings. For more intimate weddings the State Dining Room is elegant and atmospherically candlelit.
Now I’m very proud to say that we at MIKI Studios, always attract party animals when it comes to our couples and their family and friends. And Brympton D’Evercy gives them the perfect place to do some serious partying. Their beautifully converted stables have been stylishly designed with a bar and a dancefloor. It also has its own courtyard so you can throw open the doors and blend outdoor and indoor spaces. The rolling countryside makes for beautiful sunset images, and the Somerset starry skies mean that we can keep on getting those romantic portrait images right into the evening.
Throw in some fireworks and some tasty evening food providing by Brympton D’Evercy’s talented in-house chefs and you have everything you need for the perfect evening celebration. Some of our favourite dancefloor images have been taken at Brympton D’Evercy, we bravely get ourselves right into the action and it always pays off. Here take a look!
And after a long day and night of partying your guests can flop into bed in one of their gorgeous 31 bedrooms. Brympton D’Evercy House can sleep up to 72 guests, though there is a host of other accommodation nearby to suit all budgets.
