As award-winning wedding photographers and videographers, we get to frequently shoot wedding photography at the Shard and every time we still get a little excited about our return. We love it there. Mahshad and Farzahn decided in February 2021 to have an intimate London wedding and planned the entire thing in just two and a half months.
The wedding was in two halves, with Mahshad and Farzahn’s ceremony held at the iconic Grade II listed Edwardian Marylebone Town Hall on 10th June and their wedding reception at Shangri-La Hotel at The Shard later on 26th June when restrictions would have been eased to allow more guests. Unfortunately, that wasn’t to be, so the wedding reception also had restricted numbers, but these guys made sure it was still an amazing celebration. The team at
The Shangri-La were very accommodating and worked with Mahshad and Farzahn to create a gorgeous wedding day that I know they were delighted with. There are so many reasons why we love shooting wedding videography and wedding photography at The Shard. But our favourite reason are the gorgeous contemporary interiors combined with one of the most magnificent views of London make sure that every photograph has the most epic backdrop.
The venue is so stunning that it doesn’t need much dressing so these guys just opted for elegant white and gold furniture and blush and ivory flowers as centrepieces. Giving it an air of effortless glamour.
Mahshad looked stunning in her bespoke Berta dress, which really suited her slender frame and gave her a stunning silhouette in our images and film. Farhan looked great in a classic black Armani tuxedo. The looks perfectly complimented one another and The Shard’s luxurious and stylish interiors.
There were some gorgeous and thoughtful presents at the wedding. Mahshad had personalised cufflinks made for Farahn, her father, her brother and her father-in-law. Farahn surprised Mahshad with an exquisite personally designed diamond necklace and earrings featuring emeralds. Which worked perfectly with her dress. Mahshad absolutely dazzled.

“Being a little newbie in London and having to plan a wedding in 80 days – I turned to Instagram for help and searched London based wedding photographer/videographers for days!! I came across numerous business accounts, some with wonderful shots lacking the wow factor for me; none really caught my attention like MIKI studios’ account. I was in awe.
