The Royal Chelsea Hospital offers a unique and historic wedding venue in the heart of London. A spectacular central courtyard Figure Court offers an impressive welcome to your guests for a drinks and canapes reception. The State Apartments, originally built to host members of the Royal Family, offer a historic and intimate setting, whereas our grand Great Hall is perfect for larger parties. If an outdoor venue is your ideal, then the beautiful and secluded Ranelagh Gardens can be used for marquees.
The Royal Hospital Chelsea is one of those very well known iconic buildings in London and all over the World. Obviously, it’s a retirement and nursing home for around 300 veterans of the British Army but it is also a place full of character with incredible architecture and the most amazing chapel. Wren Chapel features an awesome impressive mural of The Resurrection by Sebastiano Ricci, it really is something else. You can only really appreciate it up close! With huge windows on each side, there is pretty amazing light for great photos! It has a huge capacity of 400 so there was plenty of space for us there.
Dara and Will got married at St Barnabas Church Pimlico which is a stones thrown from the Royal Chelsea Hospital, its a beautiful church nestled into the backstreets of Chelsea.
It was so awesome to see so many pensioners making an appearance making it even more memorable for Dara and Will.
If you are looking for a grand London wedding venue with lots of history, this one is definitely one of them. Dara and Will wedding was truly beautiful, have a look!
It was great to have our friend, Matt Long along to help second shoot – Thank you!
