We love, love, love shooting Hackney Town Hall wedding photography. If there was a competition for the most impressive town hall in the world, we think Hackney Town Hall would win it. This top London wedding venue recently underwent a multi-million-pound renovation that saw it’s gorgeous 1930’s architecture brought to life with 21st-century luxury and facilities.
Having your wedding your way is what weddings at Hackney Town Hall are all about. With capacity for a whopping 550 standing guests, they are an excellent choice for Asian, African and Greek weddings. Or those simply wanting a seriously big party!
A working town hall in its 82nd active year, Hackney Town hall boasts five separate wedding spaces all with period features and impressive architecture and all bathed in tons of natural light. They can accommodate micro weddings right through to large lavish affairs.
The North and South Atria’s both have a brand new state of the art glass-roofed atria’s that seamlessly blend outdoor and indoor space. For weddings that the weather can’t spoil. They also both have the capacity for up to 200 standing guests.
The Assembly Room is light and airy with beautiful art deco features and lighting, light wood floors and feature windows that bathe the space with tons of natural light. The Assembly Rooms have the capacity for a whopping 550 standing guests so ideal for larger celebrations. The Assembly Room can also be partitioned down the middle to create two smaller spaces.
For all-out art-deco charm choose The Bridgetown Bar. With a capacity for 60 standing guests, it’s great for a smaller wedding or for reception drinks at a larger celebration.
The Committee Rooms are a boardroom style room with wood-panelled walls, ceiling to floor windows and art deco chandeliers. The room has a grown-up glamour about it so is perfect for a wedding ceremony. It has a capacity of 100 guests.
Lastly, there’s The Council Chamber which is a fixed auditorium. The thing we love about auditorium seating is that wedding ceremony feels more intimate as guests are seated around the couple rather than behind them. The chamber itself seats 100 guests and an additional 48 guests can be seated in the viewing gallery.
