October is one of my favourite months for a Great Fosters Wedding, so much colour and beauty in gardens and where better to finish the month. Great Fosters is a country house hotel in Egham, Surrey and is a really AWESOME wedding venue – the grounds are beautiful, the house is stunning. Great Fosters is truly one of the most romantic, elegant and classy wedding venues in the UK. Set amongst 50 acres of stunning gardens and parkland in Egham, it is the perfect setting for a wedding. If you are looking for a beautiful Surrey wedding venue, then look no further. It’s just like staying in a royal residence, and indeed King Henry VIII and Queen Elizabeth I both used it as a hunting lodge. Traces of royal ancestry are everywhere, in Elizabeth’s coat of arms above the porch, and on the ceiling, dating from the 1600s and decorated with Queen Anne Boleyn’s personal crests.
I had the pleasure of visiting Great Fosters for the wedding of Laura and James, a highly emotional and perfectly elegant wedding. I simply can’t put into words how humbling it is to watch raw emotions between family members. In particular, seeing Laura’s Dad see his girl in her dress and read his speech was just …. well – it’s one of those moments there aren’t any words for!
Laura and James’ styling was all their own work (well, probably more Laura than James). I love the effort they went to, creating some really special moments. Anyway, on with the photos… Be sure to check out the dancing……!
