There are so many reasons why we loved capturing a Cripps Barn Wedding Venue..  It\u2019s an amazing venue.  If we had to pick three words to describe it we\u2019d go with relaxed, rustic and idyllic.   Nicola and Matthew always wanted to get married in the Cotswolds and said they just fell in love with Cripps Barn the second the saw it.  From the images, you can see why!\n\nGuests arrived on a coach from a nearby hotel where they were staying whilst Nic arrived in her uncle\u2019s car with her dad.  Nic looked amazing in her wedding dress with hair and makeup provided by MACH management.\n\nThe good weather meant that they could have the outdoor ceremony they wanted and they took their vows standing underneath the beautiful oak ceremony canopy in the glade.  Nic and Matt booked a brilliant singer (Abi Sings) who sang a selection of their favourite songs during the ceremony and throughout the reception drinks.\n\nThe wedding reception was held in one of the beautiful oak beamed barns with sweeping flagstone floors, timber frames and a large open fireplace, it really gives you a \u2018wow\u2019 moment when you walk into it for the first time. The barn also has an open terrace with views over the awesome Cotswold countryside.\n\nDecorations and flowers were kept low key and simply to tie in with the ambience with Nic and Matt just adding rustic stationery that complimented the venue perfectly. We loved the colour scheme of light grey for bridesmaid\u2019s dresses and groomsmen\u2019s ties with flowers all white and green foliage.  Flowers were the creation of Go Wild Flowers giving a clean and fresh look that really showed the barn at its best.\n\nThe food provided by Cripps Barn was amazing and was one of the things Nic and Matt\u2019s guests raved about the most on the day.\n\nWe love to see what people have done with their wedding cakes and Nic and Matt\u2019s three tiers (one carrot, one salted caramel and one lemon drizzle) was a work of art and made sure there really was something for everyone.  It was made by the Vanilla Pod Bakery.\n\nThe favours were scratch cards on the tables which was a fun idea though unfortunately didn\u2019t produce any big wins!\n\nNow, Nic and Matt knew exactly what they wanted for their evening reception and hired the band \u2018The Indie Killers\u2019 who literally had everybody up on the dancefloor. When a dancefloor is full of everyone from work colleagues to grandparents you know the band is good!  Pizzas were bought around on platters and guests were free to roam between the barn and the gardens where the fire pit was lit.   This wedding party was epic!\n\nThis lot partied so hard that when the music had to stop in the barn the Indie Killers continued playing out in the garden beside the fire.  Needless to say, the wedding party was Nic and Matt\u2019s favourite part of the day.\n\nAt the end of the night, guests got back onto the coach to go back to the hotel and the party continued on the coach.  Nic is still feeling sorry for the driver!\n\nAn epic wedding full of fun.  We loved shooting Nic and Matt\u2019s day. We met them at a friend\u2019s wedding and Mick got the best picture of me and Matt we\u2019d ever seen so we had to have them for our own wedding. We enjoyed getting to know them whilst in Paris doing our pre-wedding shoot, thankfully we didn\u2019t die while standing in the middle of the road by Arc de Triomphe, but was very funny! Even passers-by commented on how lovely it was to have pictures there. When you guys showed up at the house the morning of the wedding it was just lovely to see you both again and you made us feel at ease for our pictures!
